PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Galvanized coils are produced with hot-rolled steel strip or cold-rolled steel strip as the substrate through a continuous hot-dip galvanizing process. The hot-dip galvanized sheet is supplied as a rectangular flat plate by cross-cutting; the hot-dip galvanized coil is supplied as a roll by coiling.
Galvanized coils can therefore be divided into hot-rolled galvanized coils and cold-rolled hot-dip galvanized coils, which are mainly used in construction, home appliances, automobiles, containers, transportation and household industries. Especially steel structure construction, automobile manufacturing, steel silo manufacturing and other industries. Their main features are: strong corrosion resistance, good surface quality, benefit from deep processing, economical and practical, etc.
Classification of spangles
With the improvement of steel manufacturing level, the current hot-dip galvanizing process for thin sheets can already control the formation process of spangles to a certain extent, and the current major international standards have also defined their own definitions.
The European standard EN is divided into two categories (EN 10346):
1. Normal spangle (N): It is not required to control the solidification process of the zinc layer, and various sizes of spangle or no spangle are allowed;
2. Mini spangle (M): It is required to control the solidification process of the zinc layer to obtain tiny spangles (usually invisible to the naked eye).
The classification of the Japanese standard JIS G3302 is relatively close to the European standard.
American Standard ASTM classification three categories (ASTM A653):
1. Normal spangle: It is not required to control the solidification process of the zinc layer, and it is allowed to generate spangles of various sizes during the natural solidification process;
2. Small spangles: It is required to control the solidification process of the zinc layer to obtain relatively uniform and small spangles that are still visible to the naked eye;
3. Zero spangles: tiny spangles invisible to the naked eye are obtained through control means.
