PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1、 Definition
It mainly refers to the steel whose carbon content is less than 2.11% and does not contain alloy elements intentionally added. Sometimes called plain Carbon Steel or carbon steel. Carbon steel is also called carbon steel, which refers to iron carbon alloy with carbon content Wc less than 2.11%. Carbon steel generally contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus in addition to carbon.
2、 Thickness
The Steel Plates are divided into thin steel plates<4mm (the thinnest 0.2mm), thick steel plates 4~60mm, and extra thick steel plates 60~115mm; The width of the sheet is 500~1500 mm; The width of the thickness is 600~3000 mm.
3、 Classification
(1) Carbon steel can be divided into three categories: Carbon Structural Steel, carbon tool steel and free cutting structural steel according to its use. Carbon structural steel can also be divided into engineering construction steel and machine manufacturing structural steel;
(2) It can be divided into open hearth steel and converter steel according to smelting method;
(3) According to deoxidation method, it can be divided into rimmed steel (F), killed steel (Z), semi killed steel (b) and special killed steel (TZ);
(4) According to carbon content, carbon steel can be divided into low carbon steel (WC ≤ 0.25%), medium carbon steel (WC 0.25% - 0.6%) and high carbon steel (WC>0.6%);
(5) According to the quality of steel, carbon steel can be divided into ordinary carbon steel (containing higher phosphorus and sulfur), high-quality carbon steel (containing lower phosphorus and sulfur), high-grade high-quality steel (containing lower phosphorus and sulfur) and super high-quality steel. Note: Generally, higher carbon content in carbon steel means higher hardness, higher strength, but lower plasticity.
