PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

1、 Definition
It mainly refers to the steel whose carbon content is less than 2.11% and does not contain alloy elements intentionally added. Sometimes called plain Carbon Steel or carbon steel. Carbon steel is also called carbon steel, which refers to iron carbon alloy with carbon content Wc less than 2.11%. Carbon steel generally contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus in addition to carbon.
2、 Thickness
The Steel Plates are divided into thin steel plates<4mm (the thinnest 0.2mm), thick steel plates 4~60mm, and extra thick steel plates 60~115mm; The width of the sheet is 500~1500 mm; The width of the thickness is 600~3000 mm.
3、 Classification
(1) Carbon steel can be divided into three categories: Carbon Structural Steel, carbon tool steel and free cutting structural steel according to its use. Carbon structural steel can also be divided into engineering construction steel and machine manufacturing structural steel;
(2) According to deoxidation method, it can be divided into rimmed steel (F), killed steel (Z), semi killed steel (b) and special killed steel (TZ);
(3) According to carbon content, carbon steel can be divided into low carbon steel (WC ≤ 0.25%), medium carbon steel (WC 0.25% - 0.6%) and high carbon steel (WC>0.6%);
3、 Common carbon steel
1. Carbon structural steel
Brand: e.g. Q235-A · F σ S ≥ 235MPa grade Note: Q is the yield strength A quality grade (with ABCD grade IV), and F rimmed steel features low price and excellent process properties (such as weldability and cold formability). Application: General engineering structures and common mechanical parts. For example, Q235 can be used to make bolts, nuts, pins, hooks and less important mechanical parts, as well as rebar, section steel, rebar, etc. in building structures
2. High quality carbon structural steel
Grade: e.g. Grade 45, 65Mn, 08F Note: it directly represents the ten thousand fraction of metal carbon content Application: non alloy steel used to manufacture important mechanical parts is generally used after heat treatment. Common steel grade and application: 08F, low carbon mass fraction, good plasticity, low strength, used for stamping parts such as automobile and instrument housings; 20. Good plasticity and weldability, used for parts with low strength requirements and carburized parts, such as hood, welding container, small shaft, nut, washer and carburized gear; 45, 40Mn, with good comprehensive mechanical properties after quenching and tempering, used for mechanical parts with large force, such as gears, connecting rods, machine tool spindles, etc; 60 、 65Mn steel has high strength; It is used to manufacture various springs, locomotive rims and low-speed wheels.
3. Carbon tool steel
Grade: for example, T12 steel represents carbon tool steel with Wc=1.2%. Brand note: T plus metal carbon content per thousand features: it belongs to eutectoid steel and hypereutectoid steel, with high strength and hardness, and good wear resistance. It is suitable for manufacturing various low-speed cutting tools. Common steel grade and application: T7, T8: to make parts that bear certain impact but require toughness. Such as sledgehammer, punch, chisel, woodworking tools, scissors T9, T10, T11: tools requiring high hardness and wear resistance with low impact. Such as taps, small drills, dies, hand saw blades T12, T13: tools that are not subject to impact. Such as file, scraper, razor, measuring tool
4. Cast steel
Brand: e.g. ZG200-400, indicating σ s≥200MPa， σ B ≥ 400MPa cast steel. Properties: The casting property is worse than that of cast iron, but the mechanical property is better than that of cast iron; Application: It is mainly used to manufacture important mechanical parts with complex shape and high mechanical property requirements, which are difficult to be formed by forging or other methods in technology, such as gearbox housing of automobile, coupler and coupling of locomotive and vehicle, etc.
