Due to the soft texture and good ductility of aluminum, which has a silver white luster, if the rolled sheet is coated with substances such as sodium silicate on offset paper to make aluminum foil, it can also be printed. Aluminum foil is generally classified according to its thickness, condition, and purpose.
According to thickness: aluminum foil greater than 0.012mm is called single foil, and aluminum foil less than or equal to 0.012mm is called double foil; Some also refer to a single zero foil with a thickness of one zero after the decimal point, and a double foil with two zeros after the decimal point.
According to status, it can be divided into fully hard foil, soft foil, semi hard foil, 3/4 hard foil, and 1/4 hard foil. Full hard foil refers to the foil that has not been annealed after rolling (fully annealed strip coil and>75% cold rolling); Soft state foil refers to the foil that has been completely annealed after cold rolling; Aluminum foil with a tensile strength between fully hard foil and soft foil is called semi hard foil; Where its tensile strength is between fully hard foil and semi hard foil, it is 3/4 hard foil; Aluminum foil with a tensile strength between soft state foil and semi hard foil is called 1/4 hard foil.
According to surface state, it can be divided into single-sided light foil and double-sided light foil. Aluminum foil rolling is divided into single sheet rolling and double sheet rolling. During single sheet rolling, both sides of the foil come into contact with the roller surface, and both sides have a bright metallic luster, which is called double-sided glossy foil. During double rolling, only one side of each foil is in contact with the roller, and the side in contact with the roller is bright, while the two sides in contact with the aluminum foil are dark. This type of foil is called single sided glossy foil. The minimum thickness of double-sided aluminum foil mainly depends on the diameter of the working roller, usually not less than 0.01mm. The thickness of single-sided aluminum foil is usually not more than 0.03mm, and the current minimum thickness can reach 0.004mm.
1050 aluminum foil usually refers to aluminum foil with an aluminum element content of 99.5%. As there is no need to add other chemical elements, the production process of 1050 aluminum foil is simple, and the price is relatively cheap compared to alloy aluminum plate. It is a widely used aluminum foil.
