Classification and characteristics of galvanized steel sheets

Classification

Galvanized Steel Sheets are divided into ordinary electrolytic sheets and anti-fingerprint electrolytic sheets. The anti-fingerprint plate is based on the ordinary electrolytic plate with a fingerprint-resistant treatment, which can resist sweat. It is generally used on parts without any treatment. The brand is SECC-N. Ordinary electrolytic plates are divided into phosphating plates and passivation plates. Phosphating is more commonly used. The brand is SECC-P, commonly known as p material. Passivated plates are oiled and unoiled.

Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Sheet (SGCC) has one advantage over electro-Galvanized Steel sheet (SECC). SECC bending and cross-section are extremely easy to rust, and SGCC has much better rust resistance under the same conditions. High-quality chassis usually use SECC or SGCC Galvanized Steel Plate. The color of the chassis Steel Plate made of this material is bright and has a metallic luster. The advantage of this kind of steel plate is that it has good corrosion resistance.
Electro-galvanized Steel Sheet (SECC): Uniform gray color, mainly imported, anti-fingerprint, has excellent corrosion resistance, and maintains the processability of cold-rolled sheet. Uses: home appliances, computer case shells, and some door panels and panels.
Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (SGCC): dip-coated, bright white, small spangles (hard to see), large spangles can clearly see hexagonal spangles. In China, there are only two factories of China Steel and Shengyu Steel Corporation in Taiwan Province that can produce, and there is no steel factory in mainland China that can produce high-quality materials, mainly relying on imports.
Main features:
Corrosion resistance, paintability, formability and spot weldability.
It has a wide range of uses, mainly used for parts of small household appliances that require good appearance, but it is more expensive than SECC, so many manufacturers switch to SECC to save costs.
Divided by zinc: the size of the spangle and the thickness of the zinc layer can indicate the quality of the galvanizing, the smaller and thicker the better. Manufacturers can also add anti-fingerprint treatment. In addition, it can be distinguished by its coating, such as Z12, which means that the total amount of coating on both sides is 120g/mm.
For example:
Galvalume-galvanized steel sheet (SGLD): It is a multi-phase alloy material containing aluminum-rich and zinc-rich. Because of the characteristics of aluminum and zinc, it has better performance than hot-dip galvanized steel (SGCC). Main features: corrosion resistance, which is much higher than SGCC; heat resistance; heat conduction and heat reflection; formability; weldability. Uses: used in some places that require good reflectivity, such as the reflector inside the oven, Reflector for electric cooker. Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (SGCC) is for general use, galvanized steel sheet (SGLD) is for deep drawing, and SGCE is for ultra-deep drawing.
